2008 Gevrey Chambertin 1er cru 'Petite Chapelle', Domaine Rossignol Trappet, en primeur
Dried figs and sweet red fruit. Power and warmth. Drink from 2015.
Nicholas Rossignol found that the 2008 vintage did not pose too many problems apart from some botrytis which was dealt with by rigorous triage of the grapes in the vineyard and on arrival at the cellars. The domaine Rossignol-Trappet has, for several years now, been farmed bio-dynamically and we are convinced that it is this that keeps their vines producing fruit of a quality and health far superior to many of their neighbours. Their '08 reds have a concentration that others struggle to rival.
