Malbec 'El Dominio', The Adnams Selection

This has the vigour and concentration of flavour that we expect from the best Argentinian Malbec.

Susanah Balbo is Argentina's winemaking guru and Pedro Marchevsky its pre-eminent viticulturalist so when the decided to get married and start their own domaine it seemed to Adnams that this was the perfect place to source a Malbec worthy of our own label. Although they have several sources of vineyards around the Mendoza region the majority of the Malbec for this wine comes from their 'Dominio del Plata' vineyard in the Lujan de Coyo district. At 980m altitude and composed of well drained, deep loam/clay soils, it produces wines of notable concentration.

Good value 20 November 2010

I'm fed up of reduced supermarket wines. Bought this wine after a free tasting and I like it very much. It smells good and it has flavour. Good value.

We stayed at the Crown a couple of years ago and El Dominio was served as the house red. Brilliant Been drinking it ever since. So easy to order on line and have delivered.
