2010 Domaine du Vieux Télégraph, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, En Primeur 12 bottles per case
2010 is an exceptional vintage, amongst the best ever made. Strong sinewy character. Drink from 2018 -25
Made by Daniel and Frederic Brunier, at the family winery in Bedarides. Their 65 acres for their red Châteauneuf-du-Pape, are planted on La Crau a sizeable stony plateau to the south east of Châteauneuf. Grenache predominates and is supplemented by Mourvèdre, Cinsault, Counoise and Syrah. The soil, the Mistral, the cold, the heat, their standards and those of the appellation, transpire to make Vieux Télégraphe one of the top wines of the Rhône Valley. The family has been making wine here for over a century and have kept apace of technology (just up-grading their 1979-built wine-making facility for completion 2011/12), without selling-out to fashion or fads. They continue to fulfil the potential of La Crau, a unique and special terroir. 2018 -2025
