Coudoulet de Beaucastel Rouge, En Primeur 12 bottles per case
2010 is an exceptional vintage, amongst the best ever. A fine balance of power & elegance. Drink 2013-17
Château de Beaucastel rightly remains at the top of the pile in Châteaneuf-du-Pape. Over the past twenty years, others have caught up, but few, if any, have stolen their mantle. The vines have been grown organically since the Perrins bought the estate in the early 1950s, although the family have not eschewed modernity in their winery, embracing technology and new ideas to meet their loyal, world-wide customers' expectations, and to stay ahead of the pack. Their Coudoulet is recognised as a chip off the old block, and although this should not be regarded as a junior Beaucastel, it is never-the-less, pretty impressive.
