2007 Puligny Montrachet Villages, Etienne Sauzet
Flavours of white peaches and melon with a minerally structure and a touch of creamy oak. Very elegant.
A good way to get your hands on a top wine estate is to marry the owners daughter ! This is just what Gerard Boudot did many years ago but it has proved better for the domaine in this case as his particular dedication to quality and attention to detail soon elevated Domaine Sauzet to the top flight of Burgundy producers. His wines are characterised by fine purity of fruit flavours and subtance balanced by elegant oak length. All his wines deserve bottle ageing to show their true potential.
