Riesling, The John Forrest Collection
Fresh, Kiwi Riesling with tangy lemon and lime flavours and a dry, flinty finish. Great with grilled fish.
Cheery Kiwi winemaker and micro-biologist John Forrest has assembled a range of wines reflecting his exuberant personality and ongoing experimental quest to capture 'essence of place'. The Wairau Valley's stony soils enhance this Riesling's classic, natural acidity and minerality, characters combined here with attractive stone- fruit and fresh lime aromas, grape and tangy lemon flavours and a fresh, flinty finish. A winner with grilled fish.

Jancis Robinson Recommends!
She said : "Lots of complexity with tingly fresh acidity - some grapefruit. Bone dry. Very delicate and light bodied with real interest. This stood up well in a blind tasting with some very smart German and Austrian Rieslings." Fab wine!
