Chenin Blanc, The Lion Hunt, Seidelberg Estate, Paarl

Rounded grapey fruit with an enlivening hint of citrus.

This idyllic estate, founded in 1680, on the southern slopes of the Paarlberg, is owned by German émigré Roland Seidel. The winemakers have captured the soft grapey qualities of Chenin Blanc, with an appetising fresh edge. The Farm used to know as 'De Leuwen Jagt' it's original Boer name which translates as 'The Lion Hunt'.

Ripe, voluptuous, appley fruit and a zingy citrus finish. At its best with river fish or goat cheeses.
