2010 Palomino Fina, A.Barbadillo, Tierra de Cadiz
Clean, fresh, fruity and lightly reminiscent of a dry sherry.
Located in the 'Jerez Superior' the long established firm of Antonio Barbadillo farm just over 500 hectares of vines. They combine state of the art winemaking facilities with ancient barrel halls that store 35 million litres of maturing sherries. They are the largest producer of Manzanilla in Andalucia but their range covers all styles. They are one of the few producers in this region who have mastered the making of fresh dry whites using the local Palomino grape. This grape is perfect for Sherry as it has a tendency to oxidise, keeping it fresh is a great achievement and Barbadillo do it well. Great value for money, a perfect summer aperitif.
